Surrounded by his family, Jean-Guy LeBlanc, 75, passed away peacefully at the Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont UHC on Sunday, July 25, 2021. Born in Haute-Aboujagane, he was the son of the late Valeri and Flora (Petitpas) Leblanc.

Jean-Guy was a person of great faith and devout Catholic. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in history and geography from Université de Moncton and studied general accounting at the Georges Brown College in Toronto.

He is survived by his sisters and brothers: Huberte (Dollard), Annette (Aristide), Aline (Valeri) and Viola all of Dieppe, Félice (late Aldoria) of Shediac, Marie-Paul (Valmond), Lévi (Andréa) and Gaston (Marita) all of Haute-Aboujagane; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Jean-Guy was predeceased by a sister, Claudette and a brother, Michel.

The family sends a very special thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont UHC for their excellent care. Thank you to all of those who gave of their time to visit Jean-Guy.

The family sends their deepest thank you to Dr. Lim and all the nurses who took good care of Jean-Guy at the Moncton Hospital.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac on Sunday August 1, from 2 pm to 5pm and on Monday, August 2, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. The funeral will be celebrated at Sacré-Coeur R. C. Church, 944 route 933, Haute-Aboujagane on Monday August 2 at 11 am. Face coverings are voluntary. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Sacré-Coeur cemetery or the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.

Cremation and funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Shediac (532-3297).
