It is with great sadness that the family of Norma Bujold,
widow of Simon Bujold, announce her passing on Wednesday July 14, 2021
at her residence in Faubourg du Mascaret at the age of 91. Born in
Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Eric Gallant and Sara
(LeBlanc) Goguen.
Norma will be sadly missed by her children: Marie-Paule
Mattice (Alex), Gilles (Micheline Blanchard), Charles
(Gisèle Bourque) and Lise FitzGerald, all of Moncton, Guy
(Linda Robichaud) of Sherbrooke, QC, Monique (Patrice) Drapeau of
Balmoral, NB, and Jean (Patricia Beukeveld) of Mississauga, ON; her
grandchildren: Christine, Sophie, Stéphane, Mireille,
Martine, Philipe, Josée, Catherine, Xavier, Erica, Isabelle
and Alexandre; her great-grandchildren: Zachary, Luc and James. She
also leaves behind her sisters Majella LeBlanc (Camille) of Moncton,
and Léola Richard (Donald) of Bouctouche and several nieces
and nephews.
Besides her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by
her sister Doris.
Family and friends were of great importance to Norma. She
loved to spoil and surround them with love. One of her greatest joys
was to share a meal with them at one of her favourite restaurants.
Norma loved to travel with her beloved Simon and together they visited
multiple countries where she discovered wonderful places and formed
many friendships. She passed on this passion for travel to her family.
She also believed in giving back and volunteered at the Dr.
Georges-L.-Dumont hospital, with Meals on Wheels and was a member of
the Dames d’Acadie.
The family would like to specially thank Josette Boudreau,
LPN, who provided exceptional care to Norma during the last three
years as she battled dementia. We also want to thank the staff at the
Faubourg du Mascaret (Pavillons LeBlanc and Cormier) for their
patience and aid.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Saturday
