Rachelle Tina Léger,
37, of Moncton, passed away following a long and courageous battle
with brain cancer on Friday June 4, 2021 at her residence. Born in
Moncton, she was the daughter of Bernice Hébert of Moncton
and Francis Léger of Moncton.
She studied at Oulton College and worked as a dispatcher for
Midland. Rachelle loved her son, her dog, her family and friends who
meant everything to her. Her best place to be was at the cottage. She
loved Disney Channel and her favorite movies were Beauty & the
Beast and Alice in Wonderland. Her life continued for her son James
who was 7 at the time of her first battle with cancer, and is now a
fine 21 year old young man. Her fur baby Chloébean gave her
lots of good days. She loved all her friends who stood behind her to
help her through her journey. She made a lot of new friends along the
way and helped others with brain tumors through Facebook. Rachelle was
a champion and will be dearly missed.
Besides her parents, she is survived by her son James
Léger, her sister Lisa Léger, her maternal
grandparents, Fern and George Hébert, her paternal
grandmother, Helen Bourque, all of Moncton; her aunts and uncles:
Diane, Jerry, George, Jocelyne, Joanne, and Kevin; her cousins,
Natasha, Kyle, Kody, and Caitlin; as well as many
friends.
She was predeceased by two cousins: Keith and
John.
Many thanks to Dr. Dany Charest who took great care of her
for 14 years, Dr. Sarah Ironside along with all the doctors who made a
difference in her life throughout her lengthy illness.
