Rosina Gallant, 90, of Moncton, passed away peacefully on Thursday May 20, 2021 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Lewisville, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Adèle (Cormier) Gallant.

Prior to her retirement, Rosina was the housekeeper for Father Anthony McDevitt.

She is survived by one sister, Alice Poirier (Ulysse) of Moncton; one sister-in-law, Marguerite Gallant of Oxford, Mass.; as well as several nieces and nephews whom she cherished and adored.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one sister, Almida Gallant (Eric); as well as three brothers: Amédée, Alyre and Alfred.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Monday from 6 to 8 pm only. Due to the pandemic, face coverings are required and a maximum participation of 50 people at a time with social distancing regulations are in effect. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix R.C. Church, 87 Murphy Avenue, Moncton, on Tuesday May 25, 2021 at 1 pm. Due to the pandemic, limit of 70 people for the funeral mass, face coverings are required, and social distancing regulations are in effect. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In memory of Rosina, a contribution to a charity of the donor’s choice or a mass offering would be appreciated.
