Sister Bernadette Sirois (Sr. Marie-Alice), ndsc, of
Maison-mère des Religieuses
Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur, Moncton, passed away following a
short illness on Monday May 17, 2021, at the convent where she
resided. She was 98 years old and in the 80th
year of her religious life. Born in Grand Falls, she was the daughter
of the late Ralph and Alice (Carroll) Sirois.
Besides her religious family, she is survived by several
nephews and nieces. She was the last surviving member of her immediate
family.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by four sisters:
Estelle, Madeleine, Florence and Susan (adopted niece); four brothers:
Herman, Adam, Adrian and Clarence (Sr. Bernadette’s twin
brother who passed away accidentally at 12 years old).
Sister Bernadette will be resting at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Wednesday
May19 from 2 to 4 pm only. Due to the pandemic, face coverings are
required and a maximum participation of 50 people at a time with
social distancing regulations are in effect. A private funeral mass
will be celebrated in the chapel of the Motherhouse of the Religieuses
de Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur in Moncton on Thursday May 20
at 10h. The funeral mass will be streamed live; to view the funeral,

Memramcook.
