Aline M. Landry, 63, passed away in the comfort of her home in Cap-Pelé, on May 1, 2021. Born in Shediac, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Catherine (Landry) Bélanger.

For over 30 years, with her husband, Patrice, Aline was a pillar of Cape Bald Packers Ltd. She left her mark in the seafood processing sector. She was one of the first women to stand up publicly to defend the industry and its workers. She succeeded in "taking her place and say what must be said".

In addition, she was an active member of the New Brunswick Seafood Packers Association, the Parent-Teacher Committee in Cap-Pelé, Enterprise South East, Atlantic Food & Beverage Processors Association, Cap-Pelé Chamber of commerce, and the Cap-Pelé Public Library.

She will be greatly missed by her husband, Patrice of Cap-Pelé; four sons: Michel (Amanda) of Dieppe, Pierre (Kelly) of Moncton, André of Cap-Pelé and François (Julie) of Halifax; four grandchildren whom she adored: Raine, Céleste, Caleb, and Brielle; as well as the children of Michel’s fiancée: Émilie, Jasmine, and Sophie; six sisters: Carmen Arsenault (Léo), Pauline Mark (Wayne), Claudette Bélanger (Gérard), Roberta Landry (late Marcel), Marguerite Bélanger (late Danny), and Yvette LeBlanc (Jimmy) all of Cap-Pelé; four brothers: Marcel (Louise), Robert (Diane), Raymond (Paulette), and Daniel (Claudette) all of Cap-Pelé; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Louise Bélanger (2017).

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 2642 Acadie Street, Cap-Pelé on Sunday, May 9, 2021 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm only. Due to the pandemic, face coverings are required and a maximum participation of 50 people at a time with social distancing regulations are in effect.
