It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bernadette Fougère, 66, of Shediac, on Wednesday April 21, 2021 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Regina (Cormier) Noël.

She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Gerard Fougère; three children: Marianne and Walter both of Shediac, and Michel (Angie) of Haute-Aboujagane; three sisters: Murielle Boucher of Notre Dame, Jeannine Saulnier of Kamloops, BC, and Maria Berry (Walter) of Shediac; four brothers: Adrien (Joyce) of Riverview, Léo (Nora), Albert and Gerry all of Moncton; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by seven siblings: Simonne McTaggart, Sandra Fournier, Anne Marie Noël, Lawrence, Roland, Walter and Jean-Paul.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) where the private funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday April 24, 2021 at 11:00 am. Visiting hours are Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only.

Due to the pandemic, face coverings are required and a maximum participation of 50 people at a time with social distancing regulations are in effect. The funeral service will be streamed live; to view the funeral, go to her obituary on our Website. Interment will be in the St-Joseph cemetery, Shediac.
