Emery Gallant, 94, of Grand-Barachois, passed away on Wednesday April 14, 2021 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Robichaud, he was the son of the late Louis and Agnès (Bourque) Gallant.

He is survived by his daughter, Lianne Gallant (Lorenzo Johnson) of Grand-Barachois; a special friend, Andréa Arsenault; three sisters: Alma Léger (late Gérard), Imelda Landry (late Clorice) and Tilda Robichaud (late Ronaldo) all of Shediac; a sister in-law, Andréa Gallant of Shediac; two grandsons: Serge Donnelle and Marc Donnelle (Jessica); five grandchildren: Gabriella, Austin, Jesse, Chayse and Kwayden, as well as his nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Lorraine Gallant (Boudreau); four brothers: Ernest, Clairice, Walter and Laurie; three sisters: Laura Cormier, Maria LeBlanc and Alvina Boudreau.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) on Sunday, April 18 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm only. Due to the pandemic, face coverings are required for visitation and social distancing regulations are in effect. Limit of 50 people in the funeral centre at any given point during visitation.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Henri-de-Barachois R. C. church, on Monday April 19 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in St-Henri cemetery, Grand-Barachois.

Due to the pandemic, face coverings are required and a maximum participation of 80 people with social distancing regulations are in effect. The funeral mass will be videotaped and posted later in the afternoon on his obituary.

In memory of Emery, a contribution to the Grand-Barachois cemetery or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
