Sister Marie Fougère, f .j. (Camilla-Marie) passed away on Tuesday March 16, 2021 at Royal Court, Riverview, N.B.  She was 88 years of age and in her 67th year of religious life. Born in Poulamon, N.S., she was the daughter of the late Alexandre Fougère and the late Madonna Boudreau from Petit-de-Grat, N.S.

She leaves her religious family, the Filles de Jésus and her eight brothers and sisters: Claire Boudreau, Francis Fougère, Clarence Fougère, Arthur Fougère all from Ste Catherines, Ontario, Paul Fougère from Petit-de-Grat, Joan Bowen from Rocky Bay, N.S., Donna Boudreau and Albert Fougère from Whiteside, N.S.  She also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Sister Marie was a teacher for about 20 years and then her mission called her as a pastoral agent in different parishes in New Brunswick: Fredericton, Riverview, Collette, Rogersville and Acadieville.  For five years, she was in charge of the parish in Collette.  She also served her religious community as Superior, as a member of the provincial council and Novice mistress.

It is in 2013 that Marie moved into Parkland «Royal Court», Riverview.  There, as usual, she was close to all the Sisters and also to the residents in Royal Court.
