Charles Emery Brison, 83, of Moncton, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Xavier and Alice (Léger) Brison.

Emery was educated in Moncton and graduated from Université Saint-Joseph, now Université de Moncton, Université d’Ottawa, and University of New Brunswick Law School. He practiced law in Moncton for 35 years and was involved in community organisations including the Alumni of Université de Moncton and was the founding president of the U de M Club des Aigles Bleus. Emery volunteered in many groups including Food Depot Alimentaire, Habitat for Humanity, Maison Nazareth, and Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption.

Emery is survived by his wife of 57 years, Muriel née Carroll; one daughter, Monique; three sons: Jacques (Andrea), André (Jaymie), and Marc (Louane); one grandson, Xavier; and one sister, Annette.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) where the funeral service will be celebrated on Friday September 23 at 10:30 am. Visiting hours are Thursday September 22 from 6 to 8 pm only. Interment will be in Frenette Columbarium in Moncton. In memory of Emery, a contribution to Food Depot Alimentaire, Habitat for Humanity, House of Nazareth or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated.
