Alyre Brun, 93, resident of the Villa Providence in Shediac, formerly of Grand Barachois, passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Memramcook, he was the son of the late Eric and Emerise (Landry) Brun. Alyre was the last member of his immediate family.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 70 years, Sara (Lirette) Brun of Shediac; his children, Rachelle Léger (Michel) of Grand-Barachois, Joanne Brun-Cormier (late Charles) of St. Louis-de-Kent, Maurice (Daniela) of Mississauga, ON and Bernard (Hélène) of Rogersville; son-in-law, Roland Cormier of Cap-Pelé; his ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Phyllis Cormier (2019); his siblings, Exeline Belliveau, Emile, Yvon, Alfred, Leandre, Laurie, Dora Bourgeois, Alderic, Rodolphe, Hermance LeBlanc, Eugene and Lorette Bourgeois.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street. Shediac (532-3297) on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from 2-4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm ONLY. Due to the pandemic, face coverings are required for visitation and social distancing regulations are in effect. Limit of 50 people in the funeral centre at any given point during visitation.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Henri R.C. Church, 1356 Route 133, Grand Barachois on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 10:30 am. Due to the pandemic, limit of 80 people for the Funeral Mass, face coverings are required, and social distancing regulations are in effect.
The funeral mass will be videotaped and posted later in the afternoon on Wednesday on his obituary at www.frenettefuneralhome.com Interment will be in St Henri parish cemetery.
