Marcel Thériault, 69, of Dieppe, passed away on Thursday February 18, 2021 at his residence. Born in Saint-Quentin, he was the son of the late Moïse and Rita (Coté) Thériault.

Marcel was hard-working and when he decided to do something for himself or for others, he moved very quickly and it was often difficult to follow him. A good teacher, he showed many people how to build, repair something and offered his help when needed. He was generous with his time and energy. Artist and craftsman, he produced stained glass windows and built unique pieces of furniture that required skill and patience. He loved his family, nature and outdoor sports very much.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, France née Ouellette; his daughter, Milaine (Robin) of Canmore, AB; his son, Mathieu (Guylaine) of Gatineau, QC; four grandchildren: Xavier, Blanche, Justin and Florence; four sisters: Gisèle Blanchette (Larry) of Grand-Sault, France Thériault (André) of Kedgwick, Sylvie Bernard (Daniel) and Margot Thibault (Sylvain), both of Saint-Quentin; three brothers: Alain (Anne) of Woodstock, Marc (Pauline) and Donald (Lucie), both of Saint-Quentin; as well as several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation at the funeral centre and no funeral service.  In memory of Marcel, a contribution to the Canadian Cancer Society of N.B. would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
