Zélande Robichaud, 81, of Dieppe, passed away on Sunday February 14, 2021 at The Moncton Hospital following a road accident on Thursday February 11 in the Petitcodiac region. Born in Pointe-Sapin, she was the daughter of the late Alphée and Léona (Robichaud) Robichaud.
Prior to her retirement, Zélande was a nurse in Québec and in New Brunswick. Zélande enjoyed relaxing on the seashore with a good book. She loved doing crafts, fishing and camping. She was very involved with her religious parish, where she was a reader amongst other things, and had done a lot of volunteer work with Maison Nazareth.
She is survived by four children: Daniel Béchard of Québec, QC, Roch Voisine (Myriam Chantal) of Montréal, QC, Marc Voisine of Shediac, and Janice Voisine (Richard Ouellet) of Notre-Dame-du-Lac, QC; seven grandchildren: Emilie Voisine (Pierre-Luc Turcotte), Maryka Ouellet (Jonathan Roy), Martin Béchard, Marc-Erik Ouellet (Emmy-Maude Levesque), Kilian Voisine, Alix-Elouan Voisine, and Lili-Dorina Voisine; six great-grandchildren: Eliann, Mila, Liam, Adam, Romane, and Livia; three sisters: Blondine Mazerolle of Bouctouche, Aline Mazerolle (Fernand) of Pointe-Sapin, and Pierrette Robichaud of Moncton; four brothers: Roméo (Jacqueline Gallant) of Moncton, Gérald (Hélène) of Aldouane, Ulysse (Gail) of Ottawa, ON, and Omer of Miramichi; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three sisters: infant Aurélie, Laurida, and Claudette; two brothers: Hector and Delphin.
Due to the pandemic, the funeral service will be celebrated in the spring and will be announced. Interment will be in Pointe-Sapin parish cemetery. In memory of Zélande, a contribution to the House of Nazareth (for people in need) would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
