Clarence Gallant, 76,
of Manoir Pascal-Poirier, passed away at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont
UHC, on Saturday November 28, 2020. Born in Grand-Barachois, he was
the son of the late Ernest and Bertha (Cormier)
Gallant.
Before his
retirement, Clarence worked as a boiler at Edmond Gagnon Ltd. He loved
hunting, fishing, and taking leisurely drives to the local wharfs. He
loved entertaining at his camp with his
friends.
He is survived by two
brothers: Paul (Alice) of Shelburne, NS, and George (Denise) of
Grand-Barachois; three sisters: Delcia McArdle of Oshawa, ON, Gemma
Osborne (Bob) of Wellan, ON, and Diane Leger (Donald) of Shediac; two
sister in-laws: Claire Gallant of Quebec and Jocelyne Gallant of
Cap-Pelé; as well as many nieces and
nephews.
Besides his parents,
he was predeceased by his brothers and sisters: Léandre,
Agnes Maillet, Florence Martin and Moril.
The family will receive condolences at
Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac from
where a chapel service will be held at 10:30 am on Friday,
Visitations are from 9:30 am till time of service at 10:30
am.
In memory of Clarence, a contribution
to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick would be
appreciated. Cremation and funeral arrangements are under the
direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Shediac
(532-3297).
