Élodie Bourque, 96, of Shediac passed away on
Friday, November 20th, 2020 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC. Born in
Ohio NB, she was the daughter of the late Philippe and Ozina
(Boudreau) Boudreau.
She is survived by her daughter, Charline Savoie (Mario) of
Grand-Barachois; three grandchildren: Jérémie
(Bonnie), Justin and Daniel; a brother, Alonzo (Florence) of
Lewisville, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Aimé Bourque
(2006) and her siblings: Céline Boudreau, Marie-Louise
Boudreau, Anita Thibodeau, Louis-Philippe, Gonzague, Joseph,
Jean-Baptiste, and Pat.
Elodie worked in her later years at the Villa Providence in
Shediac, and the Villa du Repos in Moncton taking care of residents in
both nursing homes. She loved to help people and continued helping
others by doing small gestures of love with her friends where she
lastly resided at "O Bons Soins Residence" in Shediac. Her
family wishes to thank all the employees who took care of her in her
last years and to also thank the ones who visited her at the
residence.
Due to the pandemic phase orange, there will be no
visitation. A private chapel service will be held at Frenette Funeral
and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac on Thursday, December
3, 2020 at 2 pm.
Due to the pandemic, face coverings are
required for chapel service and social distancing regulations are in
effect. Limit of 25 people in the funeral centre at any given
point.
In memory of Élodie, in
lieu of flowers, a contribution to the Alzheimer Society, or to a
charity of the donor’s choice would be
appreciated.
Cremation and funeral arrangements
are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre,
Shediac (532-3297).
