Rita Doiron, 77, of Moncton, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre. Born in Acadieville, she was the daughter of the late Amédée and Edna (Henri) Vautour.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Doiron of Moncton; her children: Gisèle Bernard (Danny) of Dieppe, Gilles of Saint-Paul, Linda Marcoux of Moncton and Mario (Beth Fraser) of Brantford, ON; her siblings: Claudette Bordage (Roger) of Acadieville, Dorice Daigle (Yvon) of Dieppe, Murielle Martin (Normand) of Saint-Louis and Claude of Ottawa, ON; sister-in-law Marguerite Vautour of Saint John; brother-in-law Télésphore "Télex" Martin of Saint-Louis; her grandchildren: Serge, Renée, Jesse, Christian, Julien, Ryan, Jason and Marlie; her great-grandchildren: Luc and Eve; and by several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by an infant twin sister Eva, brother Célime and sister Marcia Martin.

Due to the current restrictions put in place during this pandemic, we would like to sincerely thank the staff of 4E/Covid Unit, who, with such courage and compassion, replaced her family during the time she was hospitalized. We would also like to thank the staff of Public Health for their dedicated efforts towards her family.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Sunday November 1st from 2 to 4 only. Due to the pandemic, face coverings are required and a maximum participation of 50 people at a time with social distancing regulations are in effect. The private funeral service will be celebrated at Frenette Funeral Centre on Monday November 2 at 10 am. The funeral service will be streamed live; to view the funeral, go to her obituary on our Website. Interment will be in Frenette Columbarium, Moncton.
