Cécile Jacqueline Armstrong, 94, of Auberge du Soleil in Dieppe, formerly of Cameron Street in Moncton, passed away on Thursday September 17, 2020 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Stanislas and Délima (Hébert) Richard.

Prior to her retirement, Cécile worked at Eaton’s for 30 years. She was a member of the Air Force Veterans Club of Moncton.

She is survived by one sister, Diana Landry (late Adelard); her stepdaughter, Lynn Armstrong (Kenneth "Ken" Arbeau) of Moncton; her special nieces, Aline and Gloria, who took great care of her along with her stepdaughter, Lynn; also survived by nieces and nephew: Alfreda "Freda", Andréa, and Terry.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Alphonse "Boyd" LeBlanc; her second husband, Lynden Armstrong; one sister, Edmée; one brother, Arcade; and one nephew, Eugène.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude towards the staff of the emergency and Unit 4F of the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC, especially Dr. Vanessa Girouard, and the staff of Auberge du Soleil, particularly Rose, for their exceptional care provided to Cécile.

In accordance to her wishes, there will be no visitation and no funeral. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Cécile, a contribution to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
