Giulio Bosi, 80, husband of Louise Godin, of Moncton, passed away on Friday August 14, 2020 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Rome, he was the son of the late Mario Bosi and Alfia Ponziani.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three children: Martine (Éric Déry) of Washington, D.C., Bernard (Valérie Moquin) of Ottawa, and Hélène (Robert Daigle) of Fredericton; his grandchildren: Gabriella, Juliette, Caterina, Sofia, Emilio, Geneviève and Xavier; one sister, Maria Capozzi of Rome; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Émile Godin, Paul Godin, Thérèse Godin, Maurice Godin, Marcelle Godin, and Simone Godin; several nieces and nephews; and la Lazio, his beloved soccer team from Rome.

Giulio Bosi arrived in Canada in 1966 as a young professor of physics at Université de Moncton and retired after 31 years of service.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) Sunday from 7 to 9 pm and Monday from 10:30 am until time of departure (11:15). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce R.C. Church, 826 Mountain Road, Moncton, on Monday August 17 at 11:30 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe. The funeral mass will be videotaped and the video will be available on his obituary on our Website by the end of the afternoon. In memory of Giulio, a contribution to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
