It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bernard LeBlanc, 68, of Shemogue, on Sunday August 9, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Aimé and Suzanne (Allain) LeBlanc.

Bernie had great pride in his family, his work and mostly in his children’s and grandchildren’s activities. Anyone who knows Bernie knew that he was generous, kind and loved to laugh. He joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers at a young age and went into business as Bernie’s Electric and Insulation. His love for nature, wildlife and pets was a big part of who he was, and he didn’t go far without his furry best "Buddy".

He was loved unconditionally by his family and he will be greatly missed.

Left with fond and loving memories are his wife of 44 years, Lorena; three daughters: Heidi Gaudet of Charlottetown, PE, Starlene LeBlanc (Sean Logan) of Halifax, NS, and Jacinta LeBlanc (Alexi Fortier) of Gatineau, QC; six brothers: Jean-Paul of Halifax, Rhéal (Geraldine) of Grand Barachois, Napoléon (Clara) of Cap-Pelé, Eusébe (Lorenza) of Petit-Cap, Paul-Aime (Karen) of Avondale, N.S., Evérard (Francine) of Bas Cap-Pelé; one sister, Norma Jacob (Omer) of Cap-Pelé; three granddaughters: Arianna, Evelynn and Adeline, who he thought the world of; aunt, Suzanne, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and a large circle of relatives and friends.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by an infant daughter, Allison; two brothers: Normand and Joseph; two sisters-in-law: Aurore LeBlanc and Rosalie LeBlanc.

Due to the pandemic, a private funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Thérèse d’Avila R.C. church, 2648, Acadie Street, Cap-Pelé on Thursday August 13. The funeral will be videotaped and posted at the end of the day Friday, August 14, 2020 due to technical difficulties on his obituary at www.frenettefuneralhome.com.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Red Cross or to the Ste-Thimothée cemetery in Shemogue would be appreciated.

Cremation and funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Cap-Pelé (577-3297).

Words of comfort and online condolences may be forwarded through our website at:  www.frenettefuneralhome.com
