Janice Gauvin, 56, of Moncton, passed away on Wednesday August 5, 2020 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Armand and Irène (Hébert) Bourgeois.

She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Johnny; her son, Gabriel at home; one sister, Charline Bourque (Maurice) of Dieppe; two brothers: Guy Bourgeois (Rose Bourque) and Richard Bourgeois, both of Dieppe; her father-in-law, Alonzo Gauvin of Dieppe; as well as her nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her mother-in-law, Bella (Melanson) Gauvin.

She was an assistant pharmacist at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Janice adored cats and she loved to travel.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Friday August 7 from 7 to 9 pm only. The private funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix R.C. Church, 87 Murphy Avenue, Moncton on Saturday August 8 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe. Due to the pandemic, face coverings are required for visitation and social distancing regulations are in effect. The funeral mass will be videotaped and posted on her obituary at the end of the day. In memory of Janice, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (oncology) would be appreciated.
