It is with a broken heart that the family of Dr. Perley Le Bouthillier informs you of his passing at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre on Sunday May 24, 2020 at the age of 92 years. He was the son of the late Benjamin Le Bouthillier and the late Sadie Richard of the parish of Lagacéville N.-B.

Resident of Moncton for more than 40 years, he devoted his life to the sick, first as a doctor at the Hôpital de l'Enfant-Jésus RHSJ in Caraquet, of which he was a founding member, and subsequently as a specialist in anesthesia-resuscitation in Quebec hospitals and at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. His wife and children mourn this family man with a heart bigger than the world. He would have given everything he had in his pockets to his family and the poor.

He is survived by his wife for 64 years, his dear Ramona née Caissie, who loved him so much and took care of him during his lengthy illness; his children and their spouses: Claudine and Kamil Jeradi, Denyse and Gérard Belliveau, Yves and Louise Shaughnessy, Gilles and Bernadette Lavoie, Paul, Eric and Angèle Bourque; 17 grandchildren: Mahmoud, Shirine (Wassim Guediche), Yassine (Natasha LeBlanc), Sarah (Dali Ben Maze), Veronik (Serge Desjardins), Sébastien (Amanda Connolly), Isabelle (Jérémie Gautreau), Genevieve (Marco LeBlanc), Alexandra (Mathieu Lacroix), Myriam (Patrick Ouellette), Kristine (Vincent Pigeon), Annick (Jonathan Deschènes), François (Alexa McLaughlin), Julie (Alisha Choisnet), Maude, Samuel and Anne Sophie; 12 great-grandchildren: Henri, Vincent, Thomas, Nassim, Ramzi, Danny, Heidi, Alexandre, Gabriel, Alexandre, William and Victor; seven brothers and three sisters: Stella (late Freeman Joshua), Magella (late Roger Savoie), Donat (Clothy Bonnello), Anthony (Esther Breau), Delvina (late Lionel Bourque), Pierre (Carole Boisvenue), Aquilla (Priscille LeClair), Donald, Clarence (Claire Vautour), and Léonce (Huguette Robichaud); his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Edmond (Mathilde Breau), Marcellin (Ella Saint-Coeur), Audrey (late John Brown) et Anita; as well as several nephews and nieces.

He was predeceased by his brothers: Roméo (Ellen Ball), and Lensey (Joan Prince); and his sister, Ramona (late Barthelemy Savoie).

We would like to thank the staff of the Shediac Extra-mural Service for their excellent services and their regular visits which brought him real comfort, the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC and in particular their attending physician, Dr. Nadine Roy, for her professionalism and continued support to the family during the illness. Thank you also to Dr. Marc Dorval, nephrologist, for the care provided over the years.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the private funeral service will be streamed LIVE online from Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre on Monday, June 1, 2020 at 11 am.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Your expressions of sympathy can translate into a donation to the CHU Dumont Foundation.
