Kevin P. McKee, 42, of Grand-Barachois, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, February 23rd, 2020 at The Moncton Hospital, Moncton. He was the son of Paul and Louise (Gagnon) McKee.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his siblings: Patrick (Alicia Melanson), Lisa Cormier (Samuel) all of Grand-Barachois and Sean (Lucie Roy) of Shediac; his niece, Maele and nephew, Dax both whom he adored; Kevin is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins whom he respected and loved dearly.
Kevin was part owner of the family seafood processing businesses at Edmond Gagnon Ltd. and Pêcheries St. Paul (1989) Ltée. He played hockey with the Moncton Gagnon Junior Beavers and the St. Mary’s University Huskies, Halifax, NS. He was very athletic and enjoyed all outdoor activities including, hockey, golf, boating, water skiing and travelling. He was also a dog lover. He graduated in 1995 from Athol Murray College of Notre-Dame, Wilcox, Sask. and in 2001 he received his Bachelor of Commerce Degree from St. Mary’s University, Halifax, NS.
The family would like to thank the staff of the ICU Moncton Hospital for the wonderful care Kevin received. A special thank you to all who helped and supported Kevin during the last few years. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street Shediac, on Wednesday, February 26th from 6 pm to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be held in St-Henri R. C. church, 1356 route 133, Grand-Barachois on Thursday, February 27th at 10:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the SPCA or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
