Gérard Forest, 72, of Moncton, passed away on Wednesday January 15, 2020 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born on September 9, 1947 in Moncton, he was the son of the late Alphonse and Sarah (Niles) Forest.

Gérard was a wonderful spouse, father, grandfather, friend, with a big heart and generous nature, musician, composer, and so much more.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Lucienne née Lanteigne; two children: Geneviève Forest and Julien (Nancy) both of Moncton; three grandchildren whom he adored: Liam, Tristan and Quentin; one brother, Charles-Edouard (Jeanne LeBlanc) of Grand-Barachois; one brother-in-law and eight sisters-in-law; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters: Patricia and Anne-Marie; two brothers: Emery and Blair.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) Tuesday January 21 from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday January 22 at 2 pm at the funeral centre. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Gérard, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (oncology or palliative care) would be appreciated.
