Barry "Josh" Blanchard, 71, passed away at his residence on Saturday January 4, 2020. Born in Charlottetown, PEI, he was the son of the late Edward "Ed" and Bernadette (Lawlor) Blanchard. 

Barry will be sadly missed by his son, James "Junior" of Shediac; two sisters: Carol Blanchard of Moncton and Sharon VanDentemple (Andy) of Sebringville, ON; a brother, Wayne (Claudette) of Ville St.-Pierre, QC; a sister in law, Line Blanchard of Dieppe; a brother in law, Glen Fisher of Truro, NS; as well as several nieces and nephews. 

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Rose-Anna Blanchard (Boudreau); a sister, Claudia Fisher; two brothers: Paul and Brian. 

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac from where the funeral will be celebrated on Friday January 10, 2020 at 11 am. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm and Friday from 10 am until time of funeral. Interment in the St-Joseph parish cemetery, Shediac. 

In memory of Barry, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (Dialysis Department or to the Cardiology Department) would be appreciated by the family.
