It’s with heavy hearts the family of Lota Gautreau, 89, of Shediac, announce her passing on Sunday December 29, 2019 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC.  Born in Dupuis-Corner, she was the daughter of the late Camille and Elizabeth (Léger) Cormier.

She will be sadly missed by her four children:  Jean-Marie "John" (Denise), Paul (Charline) and Denise Lirette (Eloi) all of Grand-Barachois and Joanne Foster (Bobby) of Shediac; eight grandchildren: Serge, Paula, Renée, Yves, Lynne, Nadine, David and Chris; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Edouard Gautreau (2013); a son, Francis "Frank"; a sister, Camilla Niles; two brothers: Joseph and Aldéi; a granddaughter, Janelle. 

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac from where the funeral will be celebrated on Friday January 3, 2020 at 10:30 am.  Visiting hours are Thursday from 7 to 9 pm and Friday from 9:30 am until time of funeral.  Interment will be in St-Joseph parish cemetery in Shediac. 

In memory of Lota, a contribution to the CHU Dumont (cardiology) or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
