It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond Nadeau, 73, of Shediac, on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Moncton City Hospital. Born in Edmundston, he was the son of the late Roméo and Amelia (Soucy) Nadeau.

Raymond lived a life full of adventures and projects. He had a career with Fraser (Edmundston), but his entrepreneurial flair also made him a businessman and he was proud to have had the chance to share and transmit his knowledge to his son, Marc. Building was another of his favorite pastimes and he always had an idea to advise. Raymond loved nature and found calm in his garden. An artist at heart, he discovered this facet of his personality when he met his wife, Monette, with whom he collaborated on several artistic projects. His adventurous spirit allowed him to travel the world, but he was always looking forward to finding his friends in the Florida sun in winter.

He is survived by his wife, Monette Leger; a son, Marc (Tina Mazerolle) of Shediac; his step-children: Krystal Poirier (Luc) and Kyle (Brittany) Murray all of Shediac; step-granddaughter, Mia; eight brothers and sisters: Ronald (Marie Tardif), Rino (Françoise Lynch), Urbain (Claudette), Robert (late Wanda) all of Edmundston, Réal (Danielle) of Grand-Sault, Marie-Mai Michaud (Normand), Rinette Collin (Bertin) and Pauline Richard (Robert) all of Edmundston, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Rodney and his son’s mother, Yvonne (Bossé) Nadeau.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Monday December 30 at 3 pm. Visiting hours are Monday from 1 pm until time of funeral.

In memory of Raymond, a contribution to the Tree of Hope or Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.

Cremation and funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Shediac (532-3297).
