It’s with heavy hearts the family of Francis "Frank" Gautreau, 66, of Shediac, announce his passing on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at his residence, following his battle with cancer. Born in Shediac, he was the son of Lota (Cormier) Gautreau of Shediac and the late Edouard Gautreau (2013).
Frank was a bricklayer by trade and a heavy equipment operator. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and take long drives in the country.
He will be sadly missed by his siblings: Jean (Denise), Paul (Charline) and Denise Lirette (Eloi) of Grand Barachois and Joanne Foster (Bobby) of Shediac, as well as several nieces and nephews especially Paula and Nicolas who were there for him during his illness.
Besides his father, he is predeceased by his daughter, Janelle (1993).
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac from where the funeral will be celebrated on Wednesday December 4th at 10:30 am. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm and Wednesday from 9:30 am until time of funeral. Interment will be in St-Joseph parish cemetery in Shediac.
In memory of Frank, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (oncology) or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
