Marie Girouard, 96, of Moncton, passed away on Wednesday November 20, 2019 at the Villa du Repos. Born on April 30, 1923 in Ste-Anne-de-Kent, she was the daughter of the late Cléophas and Emma (Maillet) Richard.

She is survived by her daughter, Cécile Smith (late Ron) of Shediac; her son, Gilles (Donna) of Georgetown, ON; three grandchildren: Jennifer (Roger), Stephanie (Richard), and Joshua; four great-grandchildren: Julie, Emily, Nicholas, and Everly; one brother, Reginald (Rose-Mai) of Hartford, CT, USA; as well as many nieces, and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Auguste (2016); three sisters: Lorette, Alfreda, and Marguerite; six brothers: Albert, Alonzo, Emile, Joseph, Aquila, and Edouard.

In accordance to Marie’s wishes, there will be no visitation at the funeral centre. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Christ-Roi R.C. church, 300 Dominion Street, Moncton on Tuesday November 26 at 11 am. In memory of Marie, a contribution to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
