Jeannine Sophie Gabel, 85, of Shediac, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 30, 2019 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC, Moncton.

Born in Shediac, NB, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Philomène (Martin) Fougère.  

Jeannine is survived by her children, David (Ginette Bourque) and Colleen (Jeff) Weir; her grandchildren and great grandchild; and by several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Jeannine was predeceased by her husband Robert (Bob) Gabel; her sister, Elda Leger; her brothers, Edmond LeBlanc, Léon Fougère, Harvey Fougère and Jimmy Fougère.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac, Wednesday, September 4, 2019 from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday, September 5, 2019 from 10 am until 10:45am. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Saint-Joseph RC Church, 415 Main Street, Shediac on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at 11am.
