Valmont Léger, 86, of the Villa Providence, Shediac, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at his residence. Born in Barachois, he was the son of the late François and Arznie (Doiron) Léger. He was the last surviving member of his family.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lorette (LeBlanc); one son, Daniel of Moncton; one grandson, Dayan, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by an infant sister, Alice; seven brothers: Camille, Laurie, Nazaire, Ubald, Gilles, Willie and François.

By request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Internment will be in the Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila cemetery, Cap-Pelé. In memory of Valmont, a contribution to Parkinson Canada would be appreciated.

Cremation and funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Shediac (532-3297).
