Paul Vautour, 58, of Pointe-du-Chêne, passed away on Tuesday August 13, 2019 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont surrounded by his loving children. Born in Toronto, he was the son of the late Raymond and Phyllis (LeBlanc) Vautour.

Paul was a welder with Apex Industries in Moncton for 23 years before he started working with his son at Eastern Groundskeepers for the past 8 years. He was a loving devoted father that would do anything for his children. Paul cherished the memories he made with family and friends at the property in Cape Breton.

Paul could often be found at night working on one of many projects in his garage. He was a master at fixing anything that crossed his path and had a passion for building and creating.

He is survived by his two children: Paul Jr. "PJ" (Jessica St-Onge) and Phylisha both of Pointe-du-Chêne; former spouse, Shirley Vautour née Jessome of Pointe-du-Chêne, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In memory of Paul, a contribution to the Victoria’s Quilts Canada Foundation (https://www.victoriasquiltscanada.com/) would be appreciated. Victoria’s Quilts Canada provides free handmade quilts to people living with cancer in Canada.

A celebration of Paul’s life will be held at the Pointe-du-Chêne Recreation Centre, 145 Pointe-du-Chêne Road, Pointe-du-Chêne on Sunday, August 18th, from 6 pm to 8:30 pm.

Cremation and funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Shediac (532-3297).
