It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the accidental passing of Denis Basque, 69, of Moncton on Saturday July 13, 2019. Born on February 4, 1950 in Tracadie, he was the son of Réginald Basque of Tracadie and the late Eugénie (Roussel) Basque.

Besides his father, he is survived by his wife of 48 years, Anne-Marie née Cool; two daughters: Mélanie (Rob Armstrong) and Marie-Claude (Cory Morris), both of Moncton; one grandson, Joshua; his brother, Rémy of Tracadie; as well as his extended family and friends.

A sincere thank you to the staff and doctors of The Moncton Hospital for their good care and teamwork.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-d’Acadie R.C. Church, 23 Antonine-Maillet Avenue, Moncton on Thursday July 18 at 1 pm. Interment will be in Frenette Columbarium. In lieu of flowers, in memory of Denis, a contribution to the Multiple Sclerosis Society would be appreciated.
