
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Camille Gaudet, 89, of Cap-Pelé, on Sunday June 30, 2019 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born on August 7, 1929 in Bas Cap-Pelé, he was the son of the late François "Frank" and Anna (Brun) Gaudet.
Camille was the founder and former owner of Chez Camille Take Out in Cap-Pelé. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and cooking. He was well known for his funny stories and humorous jokes.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jeannette; three children: Anise (Douglas), Paul (Susan Landry) and Charline (Joe) all of Cap-Pelé; five grandchildren that meant the world to him: Mario (Isabelle), Jeannot (Kristina), Janelle (Jamie), Mathieu and Jolin. He also adored his great grandchildren: Jaden, Jake, Ellie, Madiane, Zavier and Kody. He also had five step-grandchildren: Mélanie, Josée, Joel, Samuel and Nicholas; one brother, Yvon Gaudet of Bas Cap-Pelé, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one infant grandson, Justin; four sisters: Exelda, Germaine, Edna and Anita; five brothers: Jude, Ferdinand, Joseph, Léo and Albert.
By his request, a private service was held on July 4th at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Center in Cap-Pelé.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC palliative care and the staff of Castel des flots bleus in Cap-Pelé for the care he received.
