It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Jeannette Savoie, 94, of Dieppe, on Sunday June 30, 2019 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born on December 16, 1924 in Tracadie-Sheila, she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Géraldine (Poirier) Rousselle.

She is survived by two daughters: Michelle Savoie (Derek Williams) of Hillsborough, and Carole Savoie of Dieppe; two grandchildren: Christine and Jean-Paul; three great-grandchildren: Kye, Jayden, and Samuel; a special cousin, Marguerite Ferguson; two sisters: Jacqueline LeBlanc of La Montain and Rose-Marie Robertson (Dave) of Niagara Falls, ON; one sister-in-law, Jeannette Joly (Jean-Jacques) of Ottawa; one daughter-in-law, Debbie Savoie of New Hampshire, USA; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Adélard Savoie (2004); one son, Jacques (2017); one grandson, Christopher (2005); two sisters: Yolande and Raymonde; and one brother, Raoul.

By request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Thérèse-de-l'Enfant-Jésus R.C. Church, 457 Acadie Avenue, Dieppe on Wednesday  July 3 2019 at 11 am. Interment will be in St-Henri cemetery, Grand-Barachois. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).

In memory of Jeannette, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
