Yvonne Gauvin, 100, of Grande-Digue, passed away on Saturday June 1, 2019 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born June 2, 1918 in Grande-Digue NB, she was the daughter of the late Hector and Amanda (Vautour) Bourgeois.

Yvonne was co-owner of Gauvin Beach Camping. She was a member of l’Institut Féminin and Golden Age Club in Grande-Digue. She volunteered countless hours of her time at Notre-Centre.

She is survived by four daughters: Josette Gionet (Bertrand) of Shediac, Hectorine Léger (Jean-Guy), Roberta LeBlanc (Late Donald) and Joanne Gauvin all of Grande-Digue; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Thérèse Bourgeois as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the last survivor of her immediate family.

Besides her husband Edgar (1986), she was predeceased by a daughter, Marguerite (1979), her sibblings: Rita, Rosa, Saddie, Léo, Livain, Noé, Donat and Elie.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396, Main Street, Shediac, on Tuesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated in La Visitation R.C. Church, 416 Route 530, Grande-Digue on Wednesday June 5 at 11:00 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

In memory of Yvonne, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (Cardiology 862-4285) or to the CNIB would be appreciated.
