
Edmond Surette, 92, of Moncton, passed away peacefully on Saturday May 25, 2019 at the Villa du Repos in Moncton. Born in Somers, Connecticut he was the son of the late Honoré and Yvonne (Bastarache) Surette.
Edmond worked as a butcher at Swift and then Hub Meat Packers for many years prior to his retirement.
He is survived by one daughter, Doreen; three sons: Gerald (Annette), Donald (Yvette) and Paul; three grand-children and five great-grand-children; three sisters: Doris Roy, Donalda Léger and Stella Gallant; two brothers: Leo and Harvey as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Eileen (Whalen); one sister, Aurore; two brothers: Ovila and Désiré.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday May 28 at 11am. Visiting hours: Monday 7pm to 9pm and Tuesday from 10 am until time of funeral. A reception will follow at the centre. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe.
