
Francis Cormier, 70, of Bas-Cap-Pelé passed away Wednesday May 8th, 2019 at his residence. Born in Bas-Cap-Pelé, he was the son the late Emerie and Germaine (Gaudet) Cormier.
He was a professional lobster fisherman all of his life.
He is survived by his spouse of 41 years, Jeannette; three children: Marise Cormier (Camille) and Russel Cormier (Gabriella) all of Bas-Cap-Pelé and Marcel Cormier of Haute-Aboujagane; four grandchildren: Jasmine, Brielle, Alie and Nash; six siblings: Jean-Guy, Ronnie, Alva Cormier (Joseph) all of Bas-Cap-Pelé, Rita Davis (Ernie) of Richibucto, Simonne Richard (Roger) of Waltham, Mass., and Anne LeBlanc (Louis) of Scoudouc, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé on Friday, May 17th from 7 to 9 pm and Saturday, May 18th from 9:30 am till time of departure at 10:20 am. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila R. C. church, 2648 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé on Saturday May 18th, 2019 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Cap-Pelé.
In memory of Francis, a contribution to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Cap-Pelé cemetery would be appreciated.
