Lorraine Benoit, 97, of Résidence Beaux Souvenirs in Dieppe, formerly of Jones Street in Moncton, passed away on Wednesday May 1, 2019 at The Moncton Hospital with her daughters by her side. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Dosithé and Euphémie (Bastarache) Bourgeois.

She is survived by two daughters: Julie Benoit (Don), and Denise Robichaud (Louis-Joseph); four grandchildren: Christine and Dominik Robichaud, Eric and Luc Jaillet; two great-grandchildren: Rafael and Oélie; one sister, Irma Melanson (late James) of Moncton; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, George (2007); one sister, Ella; five brothers: Lionel, Raymond, Blair, Gérald, and Armand.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Christ-Roi R.C. church, 300 Dominion Street, Moncton on Saturday May 4 at 11 am. In memory of Lorraine, a contribution to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
