
Victor ʺVicʺ Landry, 80, of Shediac, passed away on Friday April 26, 2019 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Dupuis Corner, he was the son of the late Calixte and Andréa (Léger) Landry
Prior to his retirement, Victor attended St. Francis Xavier University and Nova Scotia Technical College. He worked in Grand-Mère, Quebec, as an engineer and went on to work in Montreal for Imperial Oil in the mid sixties. His work brought him to Toronto then later to Moncton as President of Metro Fuels. He retired in 1997.
He was an avid golfer and loved to spend his winters in Florida where he would play his favorite sport several times a week.
Vic is survived by his wife, Francine (Bombardier) Landry of Shediac; his two children, Karine (Danny) Landry-Crossman and Francis (Nadine) all of Moncton; his six siblings, Léonette Cyr (Michel) of Dieppe, Jocelyne Saba (Mounir) of Montréal, Jeanne LeBlanc (Mike) of Fredericton, André of Grande-Digue, Louise Landry (Pierre) of Moncton and Paul (Jeannine) of Dieppe; his two grandchildren, Evan and Jeannette; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Victor was predeceased by a brother, Ernest.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac, on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 from 2 pm till time of chapel service at 4 pm.
In memory of Vic, a contribution to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to New Brunswick Lung Association would be appreciated.
