Lena Thornton, 91, of Moncton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at The Moncton Hospital.

Born in Lewisville, she was the daughter of the late Évariste and Christine (Bourque) LeBlanc. She was last member of her immediate family.

Lena is survived by her son, Doug Thornton (Pauline) of Moncton; son-in-law, Sterling Tozer of Moncton; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Thornton of Moncton; grandchildren, Stephanie, Jason, Natalie, Taylor, Evan, Brett, Kayla and Brian; and by several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Lena was predeceased by her husband, Victor ″Vic″; son, Robert "Bob"; daughter, Nancy; grandson, Jonathan; siblings, Alvina ″Vina″ LeBlanc, Mary LeBlanc, Edmond, Raymond, Mayme Léger, Dora Gould, Emily ″Millie″ LeBlanc, George, Johnny and Ned.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and on Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 10 am till the time of funeral. The funeral service will be celebrated at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 11 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe.
