Ida E. Dion, 97, formerly of Laurier Street, Dieppe, passed away on Monday April 22, 2019 at the Villa du Repos in Moncton. Born in Neguac, she was the daughter of the late Jérémie and Bernadette (Thibodeau) Savoie.

Ida was a sales clerk at Eaton’s prior to her retirement.

She is survived by one sister, Violette Savoie (feu Alphée) of Village St-Laurent; one brother, René of Néguac; several nieces and nephews, especially Egbert Savoie and his wife, Rolande.

She was predeceased by her husband, Omer (2002); four sisters: Edmée, Liliane, Florine and Elsia; seven brothers: Edgar, Gérard, Célestin, Emery, Ovide, Clarence and Barthelemy.

A special thank you to her caregiver, Denise Bourque, who provided exceptional care to Ida.

In accordance to her wishes, there will be no visitation. The funeral service will be celebrated at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Friday April 26 at 3 pm. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe.

In memory of Ida, a contribution to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
