It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Bernard "Bernie" Martin of Shediac at the age of 56. Born in Moncton, he was the son of Emelia (Doucet) Martin and the late Adelard Martin.

Bernie loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping, boating, snorkeling and snowmobiling. He had a love of life that was shared with those he loved, his wife, his children, grandchildren and his friends. He gave love unconditionally.

Bernie is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Monette; two children: Véronique Leger (David Vautour) of Riverview and Jeremie Leger (Adeana) of Moncton; one sister, Ginette Melanson (Robert) of Rogersville; two granddaughters: Celeste and Julianne; two nephews: Robbie Melanson (Jessica) and Shawn Melanson (Laura) and their children; his in-laws, Alderice and Geraldine Richard; three brother in-laws: Charles Richard (Lucie Leger), Normand Richard (Donna) and Marc Richard (Anik Laflamme), as well as nephews: Gabriel, Christien, Joel and Raphael.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) Sunday April 28 from 1 to 3 pm for a celebration of life and sharing of memories.
