
Léon Cormier, 59, of Shediac, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019 at The Moncton Hospital, Moncton. Born in Shediac, he was the son of the late Valmond and Juliette (Landry) Cormier.
Léon was a hairstylist and operated his own salon. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, fishing and gardening.
Besides his mother, Juliette (Landry) Cormier of Shediac; Léon is survived by his siblings; Roland (Camilla) of Grand-Digue, Michel (Cindy) of Shediac Bridge, Janice Leger (Raymond) of Shediac, Gilles (Maria) of Shediac Bridge and Marcelle Bourque (Joël) of Shediac; his eight nephews and nieces; Danielle (Gaëtan), Mario (Jill), Emily (Daniel), Jeremy (Yasmina), Dominic (Janelle), Catherine (Tyler), Samuel (Anelle) and Alexandre; great nephew, Meka and great niece; Callie, a dear friend, Thérèse Levesque (Gaëtan); and two precious cats, Picot and Digit.
He was predeceased by his father, Valmond.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm and on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 from 9:30 am till the time of the funeral. Chapel service will be held at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre Chapel, Shediac on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 10:30 am. Léon’s final resting place will be in the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre Columbarium, Shediac.
