
Roger Thibodeau, 83, of Moncton, passed away peacefully on Thursday April 11, 2019 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Shediac on February 6, 1936, he was the son of the late Edmond and Lina (Vienneau) Thibodeau.
Prior to his retirement, Roger worked at the Metro Gas Bar. He had also worked as a transport truck driver for many years.
He is survived and sadly missed by his wife of 21 years, Claudette born LeBlanc; four step-sons: Paul (Lota), Normand (Kelly) and Rhéal, all of Moncton, and Roger (Treena) of South Carolina, USA; one special granddaughter, Venessa (John); nine step-grandchildren: Michelle, Denny, Amy, Tanya, Logan, Stéphanie, Mathieu, Daniel, and Melanie; one sister, Dora Boudreau (late Ola) of Shediac; one brother, Yvon (Lorette) of Shediac; one sister-in-law, Dianna Thibodeau of St-Louis; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one sister, Lorraine Bourgeois, and five brothers: Aquila, Joe, Gerard, Lionel, and Henri.
In accordance with Roger’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Roger, donations to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated by the family. The family would also like to thank the wonderful staff at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC for their excellent care and compassion to Roger, most especially during his palliative care.
