Alderice, resident of Forest Dale and formerly of McKees Mills, passed away after a lengthy illness on Friday, April 5, 2019. Born in St-Damien, NB, he was the youngest son of the late Ambroise Cormier and Marie Rose (nee: Leblanc) Cormier.

Alderice was self-employed his entire working life, as a mason. He spent his free time enjoying nature, his children and grandchildren, gardening, and visiting with friends and family.

He will be fondly remembered by his son, Darren of McKees Mills; daughter, Lena (Ross) of Moncton; his grandchildren: Nathan (Rachel) of Lancaster, UK, Aaron of Rooted Oak Farm, Quebec; Jasmine and Jackson, both of Saint-Antoine. He also leaves behind a new great-grandson, Rowan Halcovitch, of Lancaster, UK; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Due to his lengthy illness, he has already been missed by special nephews, Oris, Romeo, and Danny; special nieces, Rosa, Carole (Lenny), Yvette (Alonzo); and close friends: Paul Landry and Julie and Mike Palmer.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by six brothers: Napoleon, Léandre, Clement, Donald, Albéo and Roger; five sisters: Melindee, Evelyn, Edmire, Aline and Alvina.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at 2pm. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 1pm until the time of funeral. Alderice contributed to numerous charities, in spite of his modest income; therefore, donations to the House of Nazareth would be greatly appreciated by the family.
