William "Bill" Nicol, 71, of Riverview, passed away on Wednesday March 27, 2019, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Lee and Delia (Blanchard) Nicol.

Prior to his retirement, Bill worked as assistant manager at the Bathurst Liquor Store.

He is survived by his fiancée, Susan Miller; two sons: Randy (Chantal) and Mark (Tracy), both of Moncton; four grandchildren: Danika, Mackenzie, Declan, and Ava; his siblings: Ruth Pedneault (late Jean) of Edmundston, Earl (Lauraina) and Kevin (Helen), both of Lower Sackville, NS, and James (Heather Knorr) of Moncton; one sister-in-law, Marilyn Nicol of Bathurst; as well as his nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Jacqueline née Albert (2011); and one brother, Lee Jr.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Bernard's R.C. Church, 43 Botsford Street, Moncton, on Monday April 1 at 11 am. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Moncton. In memory of Bill, a contribution to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
