Victor Guitard, 93, of Moncton, passed away on Monday March 11, 2019 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Madran (Petit-Rocher), he was the son of the late Jean-Baptiste and Catherine (Cormier) Guitard.

To everything, there is a season… Our next season will be spent reflecting on all the good memories and the things Dad tried to teach us. He was a compassionate man who was always looking for ways to share what he had and helping others.

His love for his family was very profound and he will be greatly missed by his children: Giselle Price (Richard), Danny (Pat), Nicole Dennis (Bruce), John (Jayne) and Marc (Julia).

Dad shared great hopes for his grandchildren and was always interested in hearing about every little thing they did. He will be missed and remembered fondly by his grandchildren: Patrick Price (Anne), Lauren Guitard, Dione Melanson (Peter), Ben Dennis, Ben Guitard, Nina Guitard, and Maxime Guitard. However the apple of his eye for the last eight years has been his great-granddaughter, Lia, who has brought him great joy.

Predeceased by his beloved wife, Irène; his sisters: Elizabeth and Antoinette; his brothers: Edmond, Léandre, Télesphore, Gérard, and Romain. Survived by his sisters: Thérèse Morrison and Cecile Segal.

The family would like to thank all those who have contributed in one way or another to Dad’s well-being. You know who you are.

A memorial service will be celebrated at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Thursday March 14 at 5 pm. Visiting hours are Thursday from 3 pm until time of funeral. Reception to follow. Interment will be in Frenette Columbarium, Moncton. In lieu of flowers, the family would be happy with donation to the CHU Dumont Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. Words of comfort and donations can be made at www.frenettefuneralhome.com.

"Be kind to each other"
