
Nélida LeBlanc, 100, of Résidence du Marais in Dieppe and formerly of Moncton, passed away on Monday February 25, 2019 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in MacLean Settlement, she was the daughter of the late Antoine and Mélina (Girouard) Cormier and the step-daughter of the late Marie Gosselin.
Nélida worked at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital in laundry for 20 years.
She is survived by one daughter, Louise Poirier (late Raymond-2002); two grandchildren: Suzanne and Marc; one step-sister, Rita (late Antélien) of Moncton; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Léo (2004); her sisters and brothers: Flora, Yvonnisse, Emery, Medric, Edmond, and Venant.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday from 12:30 until time of departure (1:15). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Christ-Roi R.C. church, 300 Dominion Street, Moncton on Thursday February 28 at 1:30 pm. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Nélida, a contribution to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
