
Emile Gallant, 84, of Résidence O Bons Soins in Shediac, and formerly of Dieppe; passed away on Tuesday December 11, 2018 at The Moncton Hospital. Born on December 30, 1933 in Grande-Digue, he was the son of the late Victor and Aurore (Babineau) Gallant.
Prior to his retirement, Emile worked as shop foreman at Apex Industries.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Emma née Bourque; one sister, Florine Landry (late Raymond) of Shediac; two brothers: Joseph (late Geneva) of Moncton, and Jean (Patsy) of Leominster, Mass.; two special nieces: Lisa Melanson (Mark) of Lakeville, and Cindy Breau (Rick Arsenault) of Memramcook; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Sylvine (1992); two sisters: Simone Chiasson (late Gérard), and Lauraine Maillet (late Jean); one brother, Antoine (Carmela).
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) Thursday from 2 to 4 pm and 6:30 to 8:30 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated in Ste-Thérèse-de-l’Enfant-Jésus R.C. Church, 160 Ste-Thérèse Street, Dieppe on Friday December 14, 2018 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe.
