Alyre Petitpas, 86, of Villa Providence Shediac formerly of Haute-Aboujagane passed away on Friday, August 31st, 2018. Born in Haute-Aboujagane on February 14th, 1932, he was the son of the late Amedée and Alma (LeBlanc) Petitpas.
Prior to his retirement, Alyre was an insulation installer for Guilford Ltd.
He is survived by his spouse of 63 years Simonne (Cormier); his seven children: Catherine Cormier (Richard), Angella Goguen (Paul), Normand, Donald (Lisa), Roger (Nicole), Yvon (Diane), Guy; 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; sister: Thérèse LeBlanc (Paul); and one brother: Hector (late Claudette) as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and his siblings: Alcide, Léona, Flora, Rita, Lorette, Fernande and one great grandchild Kamille.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac on Sunday, September 2nd from 2 pm to 4 pm and from 7 pm to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Sacré-Coeur Haute-Aboujagane on Monday, September 3rd at 4 pm.
In memory of Alyre, a contribution to the Cemetery Haute-Aboujagane or CHU Dumont (Oncology) would be appreciated.
